Th...So, what's the plan to change all of this? There would have to be a national fasting plus several hours of praying in a united event, begging God to forgive our ignorance on how to live the gospel and to give all of us a heart to truly follow Him. On the other hand, I will continue to pray each morning, throughout the day, and in the evening on my knees, praising and worshiping God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, along with thanking him for his great mercy, guidance, and superior love. I think we as Catholics need to seriously look at evangelizing, demonstrating the power of the Gospel of Jesus in whatever talent and gift God has given us through our actions as well as through our words, sharing in love as describe in 1st Corinthians 13, not judge, turn the other cheek no matter how much it hurts, and ask our neighbors and family members to forgive our shortcomings. We also need to pray for our country's leaders, for our priests, deacons, sisters, and the laity. We should not get overwhelmed with the politics of the Church but instead pray for it. I'm not say that we should ignore the politics but instead not let it obsess us. We should be patient with priests that we do not like and instead, thank them for their service. The body of Christ has all kinds of ministries. We should use the gifts that God has given us and double it like in the parable of the talents. Let us not be like the one servant who went and hid his talent in the ground. Let us encourage others to read the Bible along with a Catholic commentary. If there is something there we do not understand, put that on a shelf and get back to it later. Praise the name of Jesus, king of endless glory. I didn't mean to get preachy here but in the words of Mark Karney, "Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy, Lord have mercy."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7318545864976505075.post-6852196293951036352013-06-27T11:44:01.000-05:002013-06-27T11:44:01.000-05:00Lord, have mercy.
